Significant updates have been introduced in the field of fuel consumption measurement in compliance with legal metrology standards. The new certificate of measuring instruments now covers the entire range of Eurosens diesel fuel flow meters, capable of measuring flow rates from 1 to 5000 liters per hour. Additionally, the operating temperature range has been extended to -40 to +85 degrees Celsius.

Eurosens flow meters are certified to operate with the RS485 digital interface, which ensures data transmission to monitoring systems without distortion or modifications. This feature is particularly important for integrating these flow meters into remote monitoring systems, such as vehicle tracking systems.

When using a standard pulse output, part of the data processing, such as pulse counting, is performed by the monitoring terminal, which is not a certified measuring instrument. As a result, the reports generated by such systems cannot be considered metrically verified. However, by utilizing the RS485 interface, the monitoring system simply displays the data stored in the flow meter’s memory. This ensures that the flow meter readings in the system always match the data recorded in its memory.
